I'm updating my review from 1 to 4 stars. I was contacted by Farley's and was clarified how the recent mistake was from Caviar's end not notifying me of an update. Frustrating, but not Farley's fault directly. I think I've still received too many of these incorrect orders to give a full 5 stars, but I recognize how it's likely most of those errors were also from Caviar's end. Thanks for reaching out. I'm keeping my old review below in case anyone read it before and wants a second opinion. ________________ I want to give this place 5 Stars bc the food is worth it... when correct. I used to love their veggie croissant breakfast sandwiches so much during the pandemic, I would order it regularly for delivery through Caviar. But in the past 18 months, they've messed up my order ~8/10 times to the point that I either needed to get a full refund or a reorder to fix it. If you want vegetarian and/or croissant and/or cheese add-ons to your breakfast sandwich, you should either (a) order in person (not even pickup), or (b) go somewhere else. Today is my last tolerated mistake from this place. Love your food, but can't stand being utterly disappointed and hungry every time I need a pick-me-up from life. I think is my first Yelp review ever. I'm so upset I had to leave one.

Farley's East, a coffeehouse in the Uptown district of Oakland, mission is to create comfortable space with exceptional coffee and food where people can connect, create, contemplate and build community. Featuring locally roasted coffee, pastries and treats, fresh Panini, salads and beer and wine, Farley's East is a spot for all occasions. Recently thanks to a friend, I had the opportunity to try a sandwich and cookie from Farley's. I've heard about this Uptown coffee shop that serves great coffee and as well as sandwiches, paninis, salads, soups and pastries. My lunch box had a Hoagie Sandwich, which consisted of Zoe's artisan ham, salami, herb aioli, mozzarella, pepperoncini-olive spread, marinated onions, tomato and arugula on ciabatta bread. The sandwich was delicious. It had a generous amount of ham and salami and the herb aioli and pepperoncini-olive spread was a perfect complement. I also had a chocolate chip cookie in the box. It was different than the typical denser style cookie, as it was thick but not dense, with a soft chewy texture. As a nice complementary taste, it was topped with some sea salt. Would like to visit Farley's in the near future to try the coffee and other food offerings.

Loved my experience at Farley's! I miss the days when Oakland was hustling and bustling and Farley's was just that on a Tuesday afternoon. There were folks grabbing lunch and coffee or meeting people to catch up, like myself. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The service was really friendly. There was a line almost the entire time I visited but didn't feel rushed by any means at ordering. I kept it simple and had an Americano ($4), which was absolutely delicious. The coffee was served hot and tasted very smooth. I sat outside and enjoyed the moments of sunshine between the spurts of rain. Being located at the corner of Grand and Broadway also makes it very central to other restaurants and a short walk away from Lake Merritt. I would definitely come back for lunch and/ or some tasty treats Yummy Certified!

Fun cafe in the heart of Oakland and close to the lake. Wonderful selection of breakfast and lunch items - and of course great coffee. Prices are reasonable and service is pleasant. Overall, a nice find. Enjoy!

Came here with a friend for a late lunch and some coffee to catch up and Farley's is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with a friend. We both ordered the egg sandwich and I also had a cup of coffee. This is the first time I've eaten here since the pandemic. We sat near the window and they gave us each a buzzer to let us know when our food would be ready. Sinking our teeth into the egg sandwiches was utter a guilty pleasure, especially after a workout! That buttery rich taste of the panini and the eggs, I was on Cloud 9! It's always nice to share a meal with a friend and would love to do more of that and come back and try other items on the menu!

I've been wanting to try Farley's East for a while and I saw they had a Too Good to Go bag of discounted leftover food available, so decided to snag it. When I showed up, one of the workers was friendly and fast to assist me and get me the bag. Inside were five pastries (they were not labeled so I am just going off what it tasted like) - two lemon poppy seed muffins, one raisin walnut muffin, one blueberry muffin, and one biscuit. I thought all of the pastries were decent, but personally liked the lemon poppy seed muffins the best because I love the taste of poppy seed. Only the glaze on top really had the lemon flavor. I was least partial to the raisin walnut muffin but wouldn't say it was bad, either. I felt it was a good quantity of food since it was $4.40 total (including tax) for these pastries and they didn't taste stale at all.

I consistently get really good pours when I order an espresso or cappuccino. Hats off to the staff! They do an excellent and consistent job. The food is a bit expensive, I got an avocado toast as I was in a rush and forgot breakfast and it was just okay.
